I believe the MX950 rocker switch back/ahead is bogus.

Amen to that! Call it the 905 or something, and I'll sell it. For now, the 950 is a tough sell compared to the 900. But for the love of god, don't invent a new programming app for the thing.

For around $250 retail difference, we get:
Colors - honestly, who cares?
Charging Dock - arbitrary to some, but it enables -
Motion sensing backlight - Good stuff!
11 characters, or 2 buttons per line - Very good stuff!
Confusing FF/RW rockers - ...
A remote heavy enough to club intruders with - maybe a plus?
