I have the mx-900 and have programmed Watch DVD, SAT, Cable.
I have a question regarding Device like my Pioneer receiver. If i want to switch the sound settings on the receiver while i am in Watch-DVD page,
how do i pick my receiver as a device.
Do i need to add Receiver as one of the other options like Watch - Receiver ,
Do i need to push Watch and pick receiver or is there a easier way to pick receiver mode?

I know the new mx810 and R70 and devices button. But want to know how this is accomplished in MX900.

THanks a lot for any help.

I usually disregard the "Watch" and "Listen" buttons. You could use them as intended, but usually I just treat one as "Activities" and the other as "Devices." Or make one page an exact duplicate of the other if it fits.

Just add the sound fields you want to use as extra pages on the "Watch-DVD" setup. It's easy to just page over to make a change and page back. You can even go a step further and automatically return the remote to the DVD page after you make a selection.

I usually program extra sound presets for clients who have equipment that doesn't automatically sense the correct mode, or if they just want more choices.
Programmed correctly, you should already have selected the proper sound setting when you selected the "Watch-DVD" macro button.

I usually also move the "receiver" selection to the 2nd page of listen, in case they need to tweak something and don't want to look for the factory remote. That way it doesn't clutter up the main page, but it's still there if they need it.

Same here. Basically, any device that's not part of an activity (ie: you don't "watch" or "listen" to a receiver per se), I put on Watch (or Listen) page two. A receiver, HDMI switch, video processor etc. all fall into this category.

These guys know what's up. This is how it should be done. These remotes are designed to simplify things not complicate them.
