Just looked at the pic and I can definitely say this is the one. It has the record button. I don't know much details about the remote, but looking at the buttons, they are nicely done. It even has Prev , something the 950 is missing, Record missing on both 900 and 950, The devices button and Activities,

I hope they have the keypad light control feature also.

I am thinking of replacing my 900 with the R70 if not much difference.

Do you ever read the threads you are responded to in? Prev is on the 950.


Some may like it, others do not. I am one who does not like having record as a hard button.

Last I heard it wasn't even in beta testing yet. That was about 3 weeks ago. Perhaps something has happened since then but I'd say a few months at the least.

There's more discussion of the R70 and MX-810 in the Universal Remote Control forum here. They're still not in beta testing though.

I'd expect the MX-810 to be more like the MX-850 in capability than the MX-900.

Oh yeah...that brings up another thing as Mike mentioned, you probably don't want the R70. You probably want the MX-810 which will cost more.
