I'm getting this cable DVR this week and have planned to locate it on a shelf just below my 2 MRF250 transmitters. Is this DVR notorious for being a RF leaker and am I l likely going to have interference problems?
I read here in the forum that it's sensitive & finicky for IR. Any tips that can help? I'm using the MX3000 remote. TIA ss9001

Pretty much anything will cause RF issues with the MRF-250.

The box will interfere. Just a note, dont puit the mrfs close to anything like a DVD, DVR, HD box. They also will pick up RF from interconnects going to the plasma. Rip oneof the mrfs out and sniff for rf will all gear powered up. It will become obvious which piece(s) are/is guiltyof raining on your parade.

I just installed the notorious MRF-250 at home and had interference from the DVR and the plasma. I experimented with positioning for a couple nights and found a sweet spot without interference. Its only about 2 ft from the DVR and plasma connects.
I've read nothing but bad about the MRF-250, but it is much more reliable for me than the Philips or Maratnz RF extender--probably thanks to the 418Mhz frequency. Its definitely more reliable than my Comcast DVR (Motorolla 6412) which locks up 3-4 times a night!
I must have really lucked out since I live in a 240-unit urban midrise with lots concrete, metal studs, and a cell tower on the roof!
