I am trying to find out how to connect after this error. WindowsXP will show the connect and lists the device in the registry but it does not show up in device manager and I cannot connect.

I purchased from Tweeter in my area [going out of business here] and am unable to get support.

I'd start with this assuming your computer/usb port is functioning properly:

Uninstall/reinstalling the software (where did you obtain this from by the way?)
Ensure batteries are good.
Put the remote back to factory default.
Load the remote with a blank file.
Try loading your project.

Found A Solution:

I can connect on a slower computer. My PC is SATA II based. I cannot connect on it but I can connect on my wife's IDE based system. I think SC-1 is some kind of signal mis-match. If there is a switch or something that can work with Sata II, I hope someone will post it.

Thanks for being willing to explore the problem.

I had this problem with an MX-900 and found the problem was the encryption on my wireless bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I disabled them and used a wired keyboard and mouse and the problem went away. Means I can't use a wireless keyboard and mouse when programming the remote but I can deal with that.
