Hi,

Haven't attempted it yet via USB. It certainly is doable via IR.

Hi,

I think I recall that the USB output to a PC is to emulate a USB keyboard. It might be as simple as sending standard Windows keyboard codes. But that is just a guess and I cannot check it since I am out of town and away from my 400.

I could probably do it via rs-232 but again there has to be a way to make the usb work...I plugged my pc into the rear usb and it automatically loaded the keyboard drivers....

I got it.... You have to use aux as your device in preprogrammed ir codes and choose number 501 and 501 to give you access to keyboard commands.....they both automatically go to the USB port on the MSC-400

Can you use the Windows Quick Keys to acces the start menu. Then use the Cursor buttons to browse programs, etc?

I am using a program called active keys which enables me to do any function from a preselected shortcut done within the program. I do not know what you mean by quick keys....
