The remote is set up for max brightness yet the screen is very dark and dull.
My graphics are bright and colorful.
It is a v1.1 Mx3000 remote.
Any ideas?

The first gens were inherantly dark anyway. That's pretty much what you get with those early ones.

Something seems odd because I have worked with a couple of the first gen models before and they were not this dark.
There is some light but not much. I get a fair amount of light from the right side of the screen but it seems to be projecting in front of the screen?
