Well, just received my MX3000 this morning! So far, just playing around with it before I start serious programming.

I see it has pre-programmed codes for Sky+ but no mention of SkyHD. I know Sky+ codes work with HD but I also have a Sky+ box and therefore want to keep the codes distinct. Are the SkyHD codes available or will I have to learn them from the original remote?

Many thanks for any advice.

We just finished a job with Sky boxes. The standard def ones, and the codes from the database seemed to work just fine. I could not test ever thing though due to no signal....installed on a boat that was in San Diego for a refit. I looked at the Sky website and the remote for the regular and HD boxes looked the same....should be ok.

The problem, which I've never quite understood, is that a Sky+ remote will control both a Sky+ box and a SkyHD box. A Sky HD remote controls only a SkyHD box. So using Sky+ codes will change both boxes even when you don't want it to. That was why I was looking for SkyHD codes so that I can control the HD box without it sending the same commands to the Sky+ box.
