The IR codes were taken from the Sony remote. When I'm in the menu of the music server and give a command to go to go up or down in the menu it works one time only and then will not work. Original remote conitnues to work. I spoke to someone at URC who said he understood the problem and said there was a software setting on the music server to fix it but I couldn't find it and I called back couldn't get any further information and so I tried Sony and they said flat out no, there is no adjustment that can be made. Someone out there must have an idea what to do to work around this problem.

Sounds like your learn for up down is bad. Try again. Probably just a short burst will work.
