I'm using the MX-600 and MRF-100 Base Station to control the components in an equipment cabinet. The remote works great on all the components except for the Series 2 TiVo.
I've read numerous threads referring to the TiVo IR sensor being sensitive to IR overload. The most common suggestion being to cover the sensor with tape or some other item. I have not been successful with this approach, in over 6 months of attempts.
Has anyone had success with the MX-600 (or similar RF/IR remote) and TiVo?
Is there another RF remote solution that doesn't overload the TiVo IR sensor or the wallet? Unfortunately a wired remote receiving eye, located in the room I'm operating from, is not an option because of the equipment location. Thanks.
