Now that I'm adding lots of graphic buttons and have an idea for a cool use of sound, I was wondering how much memory is present in an MX-3000.

Thanks

Hi,
After you uploaded your program to the remote, a window pops up and informs you of the total memory you have used and the total memory of the MX-3000.

It's important to note that the MX-3000 only keeps one copy of each graphic in memory. So for example, if you had 100 pages and each one had a solid black background, that file would be a particular size. If you added a full screen photo to the background of one of the pages, the file would increase by the size of that photo. However, if you then made that same photo the background for the remaining 99 pages, the file size would barely increase at all.

Given the current pricing on memory, is it possible to upgrade the MX-3000 with more memory? Could it be added thru the USB port as an expansion chassis?

Dick.

I have seen file that were close to using all it memory. The file controled like ten locations with custom graphics on every page. So i wouldn't about memory unless you are trying to control many locations with many different componets. The one thing that eats up alot of memory is the gif for battery level. Just a heads up if you do get close to the memory limit the remote might start crashing or freezing

No, and no.
