When I check the remotes SYSTEM button, I get a message that says "warn. 5% memory" and the bar is nearly all the way to the right side. It also shows a bar at the halfway point for "power" what does all this mean?

Probably that you're almost out of configuration memory, and that your battery level is at half. :-)

I just figured it out. It's a low memory warning setting. You can have the remote warn you when you start to get low on memory and can change the point at which it warns you in 5% increments up to 20%. So mine at default warns me when only 5% is left. The bar being nearly all black (full) means I have barely used any memory with my program. As the memory is used up the dark part of the bar drops to the left. You are correct about the battery level or "power" gauge.
