FYI: I am new to programming remotes.
QUESTION: I have a Marantz and the remote was sold when purchased. The preprogrammed IR codes do not include HALL, CATHEDRAL, and quite a few other controls. How can I control these features on this receiver?
I also realize that I can't control bass and treble for some reason. (After using the IR Codes for bass & treble if I try to adjust bass it goes to THX)
ANY IDEAS?

Code 489 has Hall but no Catherdral. Code 488 has Bass and treble adjustments.

People actually use those horrible simulated surround modes (hall, jazz, stadium, concert, etc.)?
