While I have no problem using the CCP software when I have an internet connection, so that the login will complete... how does one use the software when there isn't an internet connection?
Not having a connection is really though these days, but it can happen.

So what version are you using Garcia? Just tested this myself and my credentials fail if I don't have an internet connection. I'm curious (as I'm sure the original poster is) if the work around discussed in the other thread, would work to subvert this. I can see this being something I forget, get onsite and need to program a remote, have no internet connection available, and getting extremely pissed and want to destroy URC headquarters for their ignorance & stupidity.

So you guys are saying, you are running the latest version of CCP (4.12.0810.3) and with "NO" internet connection at all you can login into the software and use it?
How! How is that possible? It checks your credentials against the database of authorized users. That's in the cloud.... on the internet.... which you don't have access to if it's offline! Something is very sus here o_O

I can show where their headquarters is if you'd like, driven by it many times. Hell, I'll drive you there....

I'm using the last version that doesn't need logging in, being the discoverer and starter of that thread :-)

Something is very sus here o_O Just tried this. Unplugged the Ethernet from my Win 10 notebook. Wireless off. Cannot connect to any Web site. I can indeed log in to CCP current version 4.12.0810.3. Don't know why. Remember that old song: Log right in, sit right down Daddy, let your mind roll on

Well that is just weird. I can't do that on my laptop or Desktop. Exact same version of CCP. I was told by someone since this thread started, that there are modifications you can make to the software. Not sure if it is the same thing discussed in the other thread or something different. Can I assume you are using an altered copy of the CCP? Otherwise I have no idea what is going on.

LMAO It wouldn't do any good however. I'm pretty sure there is no one at that location that is responsible for all the BS at URC right now. It would be a waste of time even if there was.

I think the login has to happen once every 7-10 days. In between it will just remind you to log in soon.
Only hitch is when you find yourself needing to do a touch up for the first time in awhile..

There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions. |
