For some reason today all my components stopped working with the base station. I have to reboot the base station by unplugging it. This happened throughout a movie. I could see the emitter working and sending signal but for some reason the remote did not change the device. This happened with appleTV using emitter and my processor using IR in cable and also using TV IR in cable? Remote set to RF only.

I assume since all were effected it must be the base station? or could it be the remote? I was wondering if i should also try increasing the IR output strength?

Any recommendations? I have an extra remote I could try?

Thanks

i'd check for RF interference since that is almost always the cause of issues with the MRF350.

start by setting your dial on the bottom to zero (if it's already at zero, then that is an issue).  Once it is set to zero, look at the status lights on the RFX250 antenna.  If the status light is blinking without pressing buttons on the remote, you are getting interference.  Find a location for the antenna that doesn't blink the RF status light.  Then turn the dial back to match what is in your programming file.

Next step, do you have your IR routing set up correctly or do you just have it set to all outputs for your emitters?

next step if the above items don't help.

try setting the IR routing to be IR only from the remote.  Point your remote at the devices.  Does it control the devices correctly?

Thanks, it did turn out to RF interference, not sure where it came from all of a sudden. Strange that moving it 1 cm makes so much difference and so random. I ended putting a ferrite coil at the bottom of the antenna and it also seemed to help a lot. Hopefully things should be ok now.

I had a batch of cheap MR16 LED refits that would utterly and totally block RF to my system any time they were on. Might check to see if any bulbs have been "upgraded" in the area . . .
