I just got a MX-6000 from a guy, that is in mint condition. Even the battery seems to have good life still on it.

I remember there being connectivity issues but when I got it back to the office.... argh.

1) It appears all of the 2-way modules are gone in the software. The IP database doesn't have anyway I could see to make the commands actually work (no properties for the device you want to control). So it appears to have been neutered by URC to a basic universal remote. That's a sad shame :(

2) I could not get the remote to connect (running Windows 10 pro). I did all the previous fixes: installed MDC, installed all the different drivers from the folders, etc. No go. I do not have an old Win7 machine anymore and I'm not going thru the trouble of doing a Win 7 VM on a machine.

So is it really just a paper weight at this point? This remote is in such great shape, even the power supply & dock look new. :(

Press the Windows key, in the search box type services.msc, when the window opens scroll down to Windows Mobile-2003-based device connectivity and click on it.
Now in the Log On tab change the setting to Local System account.

You should now be able to connect to your MX-6000 in Windows 10, it works on mine with a MX-6000.

Also IP works fine and I also have the itunes two way module working on my MX-6000

I got mine off Ebay for $60, would have never paid the new price because I prefer the wand remotes.
