I took over an account with a theater that was using Control4. Client didn't like it so I'm doing an MX890 with a MRF350

The problem is they were using a CAT5 from the motor on the DALITE screen to the rack and spliced it to a 12V trigger that was then plugged into the Control4 controller. I'm used to just have the screen trigger off the projector but cant because they didn't run a wire between the two. Is there anything I can get or do that will relay to the 12v module and get the screen to go up and down using the MX890 and MRF350

Unfortunately the one he has doesn't. Also don't want the screen to come down when he's listening to music and not watching TV.

Some AVRs let you set the trigger on or off per input. Obviously that only helps if he's willing to change the avr out. Are you a Total Control dealer. I'm not that familiar with MXHome Pro, it may also offer something that will work.

Why not program two activities into the 890, something like "Watch a Movie" and "Movie Completion" to lower and raise the screen. I have used these two activities with my screen and projector for the last ten years. It's idiot proof and stable.

Get a energy saving outlet strip. Plug the receiver into the master/controller outlet and put a 12V wall wart power supply into one of the controlled outlets to connect to the 12V trigger. When the receiver is turned on by the remote the outlet strips recognizes the power draw and then turns on the outlet you have the 12V power supply into. many companies make these such as APC, Tripplite and others.

Maybe use an MRX-2 base station with your RFX-150 antenna and use the relay contacts?

Hmmm, I just happened to have an MRX-2 Id like to sell cheap 😀

not possible.  the mrx2 relay contacts (and serial, and voltage sensor) is only available with IP interfaces (KP4000, MX5000, MX6000, iOS/Android apps)

Ahh.

yeah, one of the more annoying things URC did was give the MRX2 the capability to be used as an RF-IR basestation.  All it did was cause confusion.
