I am setting up 2 MX-650s using RF in the same house.

I changed the RF channel from 0 to F on one of the remotes and MRF-250 & I left the second remote & base station on channel 0.

Both systems work fine except that the remotes control both RF base stations even though they are set for different RF channels (I changed the channels on both the base station and the remote). I tried other channels than F (3, 6 & 9) and it didn't make any difference.

Any ideas?

Don't use address '0' for anything besides 'searching for RF interference'.
Both mrf's need to be set to a different ID other than '0'.

'0' is an open channel to all ID's.

There shouldn't be.

No difference which two addresses you use (as long as neither is 0). The addresses are only that, addresses, they don't change frequency or anything else. Some people will tell you to try a different address if you have poor RF reception/RF interferance but changing addresses won't help that.

Unless you're getting interference from another remote.

I had a situation in a condo building. All of the people seemed to use the same cable boxes (figures, of course) and it seemed that I just happened to choose the same channel someone else was using (figures too, I chose 1 the first time...probably the most commonly used one).

We had 2 neighbors operating each others equipment because we do so many of these, we had to really randomize our addressing to avoid this. If I recognise a neighbors house as having a remote, I will open the neighbors file and see what code I used there and avoid that one for the new system.

What other people do is still beyond my control so I avoid the first 4 addresses usually.
