I have the MX 800 editor software, legitimate copy. I have recently acquired a couple of MX 850 remotes, and the program seems to work fine with those, but I'd like to know if there are any differences, other than the picture of the remote, and the title in the title bar of the program. Can anyone help?

I can’t really answer your question very well, although I will say that I have done both 800 and 850 remotes, and I have always used the 850 editor.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

It's really just the picture.

The only difference between the two remotes was the center select button on the 850 is detached from the navigation rocker. On the 800 it was part of the rocker and made it impossible to select and not issue a navigation command also. Either program will work
