Hi,

I have a MX-980 and MRF-350 combo that I've had for years and its been great. Recently I bought a RTI RCM-4 Relay module to go in my rack. I have the RTI Library manager file for the RCM-4 but when I copy and paste the HEX codes into CCP Universal Browser then drag them to a button, after downloading to my remote, they dont work. The RCM IR light flashes to indicate a code has been received however nothing happens, the relays dont switch. I've assigned the RCM it's own port on the MRF-350, turned on RF in CCP etc etc.

I'm stumped, any advice appreciated.

Don't know if you have ever programmed Pronto remotes, but ProntoEdit4 I believe is still available on this site. Once in a great while, I have had to take hex codes and paste them into Pronto edit. The Pronto edit file can be opened with the universal browser, and codes dragged over.

Ah yes that old chestnut!....But alas, no joy there either....I have borrowed a RTI remote off a CI buddy and have taught the codes to the 980 and it's working. Frustrating though....mmmm....not sure what the issue is there.

I ran those through the Pronto IR Tool which should be able to decode those codes and let me know the IR protocol info.  But it is not decoding them.  Something is wrong with these codes.  I believe they are missing something.

There are others in the discrete code section of this forum that are better than me at figuring this stuff out.  I would post these codes over there.  They may be able to see what is wrong and fix the codes for you.
