Anyone know how to make either remote work with windows 10. I can manually install the driver from the product folder all day but it doesn't help as they are only for Windows XP or Windows 7. SO far I have had to use my personal laptop at work to keep customers up and going. Ugh

Hi

Yes, I got it to work, I am swamped but this is what I recall if it doesn't work let me know

My recollection is run as admin the latest Windows Device Center 6.1
[Link: microsoft.com]

Note: the recent patch for Win 10 require you to change logon for service Windows Mobile 2003 Device to local logon. I checked allow interaction (not sure if that is needed)

When I launch CCP I right click and launch as admin too to make sure I get the latest update.

Thank you very much kind sir! I don't run into this often but I will try this when I get the chance and report back if it worked for me. Have a great week!

In the program / shortcut properties you can set it to always run in admin mode without having to right-click.

Thank you. I still have yet to run into a situation where I need to try it but I still thank you!

Rather than searching for the right version of wmdc and drivers, you can open CCP, click "tools" and click to install wmdc. (If you already have a non-working version of wmdc and its drivers, make sure to uninstall those first.)

Once it is installed, make sure to do what rfeigen said and change logon for service Windows Mobile 2003 Device to local logon. Here's how to do that:

- Right click on the windows start key and click "computer management" (or use the search feature in the windows taskbar to search for computer management), and then click "services and applications", and then "services".

- Scroll down and click "Windows Mobile-2003 based device connectivity".

- Click the "log on" tab, check the "local system" (rather than "this account") choice and then check "allow service to interact with desktop".

Hi

A friend of mine has an MX-3000 but doesn't know how to program it. I think we need software / a driver to make it work. Can anyone upload it to a file sharing service and share a link? I haven't been able to find anything with Google. universalremote.com doesn't seem to have it anymore.
