Good morning, I have a MX-850 and use it to control my complete system. I have a Win 10 HTPC that I am using JRivers Media Center in as my DVR and OTA TV viewer. Before I switched to Win 10 I was using WMC on a Win 7 machine and was able to load a Microsoft IR profile in my MX-850 and everything worked fine. The Microsoft IR profile will only control part of the functions in JRiver so I bought a HP Media Center remote and receiver. It works perfect to control JRiver. Problem is I cannot teach any of its commands to the MX-850. It shows that it has learned the code but when I try to use then none work. Does any one know if the HP MC remotes transmit on a different IR frequency? Or is it possibly a RF signal? I tried all of the HP and Microsoft IR profiles in the IR data base and none work. If I could figure out how to teach the HP commands to my MX-850 I would be golden.
