Has anyone controlled this via a MSC400? I have used the MSC with Integra, Key digital, LG, etc..... all with out problem, but I Cannot for the life of me get the FHD1 to respond. I HAVE turned off the SR+, and tried both straight through and x-over cables, and every permiation of the posted protocall that I can think of. 02h, /x02, $02 and so on, but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

The command string should be very similar to a Crestron string; \x02**INPS01\x03 for Input 1. Use a straight-through cable with SR+ turned off. Did you remember to input the ID (**)?

Thats the exact string that I'm entering. The manual calls for "02h and 03h" but I know to convert. Either way it dosn't work. I did remember the unit ID. I also am attempting this on a PRO940HD (right next to the FHD1 in the store). Same issue. SR+ is off, and have tried both a straight through and x-over.

OK I got it. The male / female RS232 cords from URC are pinned differently. So the correct cable plus a gender adaptor took care of the problem. The "crestron" like string was the correct format for anyone else having similar problems.
