Tha alpha template tool, along with other things, is not available to DIY'ers. It will likely never be. This is the road URC has decided to take. If you have a Dealer CI login then you can go download it along with other things, if not don't worry about it because you can't have it anyway.

So is there anything better in it? Has anyone seen it?

When are we going to actually see some improvements in
the MX-3000 software?
Mar 5, 2007 Ver 1.20.155

Update - IR DB Version 1.79

Update - UI Improvements

UI Improvements?? What improvements??

1 Battery indicator still doesn't show charging condition.
2 Windows still can't be opened far enough to see contents.
3 Still can't open more than one instance of software
to copy and paste between them.
4 Software still drops connection to MX-3000 while programming.

I am sure there are more but these still bug me. How about
you?

Another.
5 Universal Browser shows strange/incorrect icons using a ccf file.

i agree ... not to mention that Vista ships with every new machine ..... as my nephew says ... duh. URC needs to support Vista ASAP.

i talked to their tech support yesterday and got the feeling it was not a priority at all.

the 3000 is superb ... but if you can't talk to it ...

my 2 cents on vista .... as a professsional programmer who beats on the machine all day its clear (after using vista a couple months) now that its clearly superior to XP. much more stable, faster, and more secure than XP ever was.

if you switch you won't go back (BTW i don't work for MS or have any affiliation).

Second of all: the MX-3000 is supposed to be a high quality
product used by high end home theater owners and professional
installers.

I believe that would be RTI, AMX, and Crestron....Those are the ONLY remote systems i spec for High End systems.....

#5 Low power warning comes on at 20% even if set to not come on until 10%.
