Greetings all. I'm having a tough time with my MX-450 and since there are so many knowledgeable people in this forum I figured I'd post my question here.

First, the MX-450 works flawlessly with my TiVo--just loaded the codes and I was good to go.

Where I'm having issues is trying to get it to control the Raspberry Pi, on which I run KODI. I have a Vista MCE Remote Control with an IR receiver (USB) (Model VRC-1100) for the Pi, and I could not find a set of codes in the MX-450 that worked. So I went the "learning" route and I'm only having what I'd call intermittent success--some of the buttons work all of the time, some never work, and some only work part of the time. For instance, when I'm navigating through my movie posters in KODI I can use the arrow buttons but the "select" button doesn't work; however, if I get into the DVD menu itself I can use the "select" button. BUT once the movie is playing in KODI and I hit the menu button (which I successfully learned) I can once again use the arrow keys to navigate--but the "select" button is back to non-functional.

(A frustration I can sort of live with, but if I present this to my wife as a solution for navigating through KODI her head will explode :-))

I won't burden this post with a comprehensive listing of what does and doesn't work, but hopefully this illustrates the issue I'm having.

Oh yes, I should point out that I've tried the tricks to learning IR codes posted on this site and that has helped.

I guess what I'm hoping for is somebody will have already gone down this path and can say "You need to use code such-and-such" or "The MCE remote you're using will never work--use this one instead."

Thanks in advance for any counsel you can give!

Bill
