Hi dear specialists,
I have an MRF-260 (set on ID2) that controls my equipment in the basement, and an MRF-100 (set on ID2) that controls the equipment upstairs. In both location I have Yamaha receivers. When I use my MX850 in the basement to turn on the receiver, it turns on the receiver upstairs as well, which is very frustrating.

The 2 MRFs are set on different IDs, ID0 for MRF-100 and ID2 for MRF-260.

This means that the signal sent by my MX850 on ID2 intended for the MRF-260 in the basement is received by the MRF-100 upstairs (on ID0) and sent to my other receiver as well.

Can you guys solve this? Why is this happening?
Thanks in advance guys for your help,
Titus

You can't use ID 0, it's for testing.

If I recall correctly, the MRF100 came in a kit with a remote (which I cannot remember the model number of). If this is the case, the base is not addressable and is set to ID0 permanently. It is NOT made to be used in a house with another URC remote, as ID0 will pickup signal from ALL channels. If this is the case, you will need to replace this base AND remote to successfully have two remotes working in your house.

Pretty sure you're right, the remote was an RF10, 20 or 30. If you look at the manual and specs I can't find anywhere to change the ID of the 100.

It originally came with mx-600, it later got a name "the Expander" for use with urc-100, 200, and 300 remotes. By time RF10 , 20, and 30 came out it was wearing model mrf100A. All three incarnations are set ID0.
