Hi,

I recently bought a MX990 and I have the Residential Complete Control program. I'm trying to learn this programming and noticed that most of the files for remotes such as the MX980 are using the MX Editor version of the software. How do I obtain the MX Editor software?

My Residential Complete Control program uses .CCP file extensions whereas most the file downloads on this site uses .RCF file extensions. The Residential Complete Control program won't open the .RCF files. So what do I need to do to get the software that will open those files?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Become a URC dealer.

Why would you want to get the editor when you have CCP??? They're both just point and click.

I would like to see how other people programmed their remotes with layouts, designs, actions, etc...and maybe use some of their layouts and features on my remote. Then once I got my remote layout the way I want it, then I can upload it to this site for others to see and use.

So my installer should have the MX Editor software as well?

The Editor is OLD and not used anymore. Here's how to do it.

Thank you kgossen. That worked perfectly. When I get the remote setup properly, I will upload my file to this site to share and for others to use/copy

LG OLED TV (family room)
