It's been a while since I added a new receiver to my system and with CCP changes I'm having trouble getting volume to ramp up and down on my new Marantz SR5011 using RS-232. I can't find where to set up repeat when held or macro triggers. It's just been too long any help would be appreciated

if you are using an MSC400, it won't work.  it is a known issue with the MSC400 that it can't handle repeating RS232 codes properly.  Plug in an IR emitter and be done with it.

I have two older Denons and 3 Marantz receivers that work fine ramping up and down I just can't remember how it's done.

actually, the problem with ramping had to do with getting double commands when pressing the button once.  it wasn't a big deal if you were just doing volume commands.

i believe that you had to convert the device to a smart macro group. (right click the device, then go to Tools, then select Convert to smart macro group)

then go into the smart macro group that was created for that device.  inside the macro window, it will show a command.  double click on the command.  that is where the repeat settings are adjusted.

i still recommend doing any of the repeating commands via IR, you get a much smoother ramp rate than using RS232
