I am programming the new Roku Premier + with my MX-980 using the current codes in the CCP database and while they work they are too fast. With one button push the button or cursor or desired action skips forward three or four skips.

Any suggestions?

I have the same remote and ran into this programming my new Roku Ultra. What I ended up doing is disabling the continuous output for each Roku button pressed and changed to a single ir output for each button instead of the default 3 ir outputs each time any button is pressed. This made each button press only register once on the Roku with the only downside being that you loose continuous scrolling with holding down a button. I ended up assigning a few other buttons with the arrow commands mapped to them and left the default commands (continuous output while being held down) if I wanted the scrolling ability. This is the best I could figure out for now.

I have the same problem. I am using an MX-1200 and a Roku Premiere +. With my Roku 3, I get proper functionality. With the Premiere +, I get the skips, even if I set the min repeat to "1". The only way I can avoid this is as described above, disabling the repeat while pressed option. I am currently using RF to an IR base station. This behavior is the same if I use the blaster or an IR emitter.

The two possible solutions I am thinking about are below, and I am wondering if anyone knows if either is even possible:

1. Change how fast the repeat happens while a button is pressed. Right now, my repeat sends the command only once, but is clearly repeating very quickly. Is there any way to slow this down?

2. Repeating macro? Right now, I have my button set to repeat. What I would like to know is this: Is there a way to make a MACRO repeat while a button is pressed? If so, we could create a macro that includes a non-repeating command, followed by a delay (.1 second?). This way we could get the behavior of: "single command, delay, repeat" while the button is pressed.

The challenge I have with option 2 is that I cannot find a way to make a macro repeat, only specific IR codes.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Copy the code in the macro, click on it and set one for repeat and one not. Use If press time>=1 second then use repeat code else use code without repeat.

Thanks for the suggestion, but no luck. Adding the If-Then function does not allow for a continuous repeat while the button is pressed.

If you did multiple nested if/then statement for different durations of the press and hold and resend commands it might work, timing might be a little tough but could be a possibitliy. ie. If .5sec command , else if 1 sec command, else if 1.5 command
You have reached my voicemail. I will be out of the office until you stop calling.

You can't set repeat to a value of "0"... it must be between 1 and 10.
That being said, I finally figured this out.

I found that by using the HEX codes provided by remote central listed under ROKU Labs 2016 devices, I am able to use repeat with a value of "1" and have proper functionality. No extra skipping, but the directional buttons do scroll as expected when button is held.
