So I just upgraded my build laptop, fortunately the issue I mentioned in my last post a year or two ago with USB3.0 ports not working with the MX1200/KP900 while USB2.0 did work was something odd with that laptop's USB driver, the 3.0 ports work just fine on the new machine. Odd.

One thing I noticed though was I went with a 4k display on the new machine. Overall CCP works fine on it, however I noticed in the design window a lot of buttons and text are not scaled properly and overrun each other because while the main interface renders fine at high dpi, the design window is not scaled properly.

Has anyone found a workaround in terms of Windows scaling that's adequate, or is the only solution to design the screens on a normal FHD display?

Run the troubleshooting wizard and choose "the program opens but doesn't display correctly". This may correct the font scaling issue.
I've paid for my sins. We're even!

Thanks for the advice. I gave it a try, and it didn't seem to have an effect, so, sadly I don't think that's it. I did play with scaling as well, and that didn't really help much beyond enlarging the pane to fit the text a little bit better.

Graphics actually appear fine for buttons, it's just the text on them and labels that runs way larger than everything around it and isn't actually in proper proportion. So unfortunately I'm not so sure CCP is really fully functional on a 4k screen, though it's at least suitable for editing the macros and button mappings, even rearranging UI objects, but it would be nightmarish for actually designing UI pages....that'll have to be done on an external monitor I guess.

Slightly surprised there's not another post on this topic somewhere. I can't be the only one using HT design software on a 4k display :P Woe is the installer that shows up with a Thinkpad T60 with serial and parallel ports on the back :P

I have that problem with a few programs (CCP, calibration software, etc.) and my high res display. My laptop is 3200x1800. When I use those programs I set the resolution to exactly half in my case 1600x900. Make sure text scaling is 100%. That way when it is scaled it is an exact multiple and the pixels are just doubled. Everything is proportional and it works fine.

Thanks for the help! I wasn't setting it to half, I was setting it to 1920x1080 to match "normal" screens it was meant for, though the scaling should have worked fine regardless. I think a mixture of the above troubleshooting wizard results plus setting the DPI and scaling and one CRITICAL step I missed solved it: You have to log out for the scaling to update, at least on Windows 10. After setting all that and logging out and back in again, the CCP displays perfectly normally!

Thanks everyone!
