I've been using a MX-5000 to control almost everything via IP. Recently I came across a need to control a IR device and decided to try the Global cache IP2IR device. I'm hitting a problem though. I've probably hit the limit in the data length I can send.

To turn on a Panasonic GT30 The GC database shows (CRs added for readability):
sendir,1:1,1,37000,1,1,128,63,16,16,16,48,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,
16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,48,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,
16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,48,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,
16,16,16,16,48,16,48,16,48,16,48,16,48,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,48,16,48,16,
48,16,48,16,48,16,16,16,48,16,2712

When I have a button properties up on the screen I can enter this data in the Data box (serial, TCP). When I click on ok the window doesn't close as it normally does. Clicking on Cancel or the "X" the changes aren't saved.

I can put some minor data in and save, but the above doesn't. Is the string too long? Is there a hidden programming trick for extra long codes?

BTW - I also tried their hex string
0000 0070 0000 0032 0080 003f 0010 0010 0010 0030 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0030 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0030 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0030 0010 0030 0010 0030 0010 0030 0010 0030 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0030 0010 0030 0010 0030 0010 0030 0010 0030 0010 0010 0010 0030 0010 0a98
but that too has the same problem.

Check the GC documentation and try the compressed format.

Thanks for the hint buzz.

I used their utility iconvert.exe and converted the hex codes to GC Compressed.
