Is it true that it is $ 1500 and a few videos to become a dealer? My nephew just graduated school and coming into my business. I may just take on the line to get my hands on the Total Control. I need to diversify and this may help him find his own way and grow the business. I am ready to retire again anyway and would like to play with the Total Control Line.

I don't remember anything about the $1500 but I did have to take a 3 hour course here in town. Maybe they've added a small buy in .

I have to call URC and set something up. My nephew is on his last hurrah and starts September 1. This can be his first task that I give him. He is very familiar with networking, CCP and loves the idea of Home Automation and HT setup. This could be good for him.

There is a buy in, and the courses officially are 3 days to become a dealer. That said, I would buy a lot more than $1500 and train much more than 3 days if your going to offer this to clients. You should buy a decent processor, some Zigbee and Wifi remotes, a DMS and some lighting if you want to do it right.
