My television isn't reacting properly to On and Off macros - some equipment was changed and now I can't figure out how to reprogram the TV - the TV commands all link to the cable box - changing channels, etc. Can anyone point me to the right method to enable a new TV to be controlled by the MX-980 please?
Thx.

Open up CCP and add the new TV or contact the dealer that originally programmed it and have them do it.

Thx Kgossen - the dealer that originally programmed it provided the CCP to me so that I could make updates when any part of my system changed, but he isn't a programmer, so he couldn't teach me how to reprogram the remote. I was able to change the cable box codes - seemed reasonably straightforward - but the TV not so much.

If you did the cable box, the TV shouldn't be that hard for you. Save the file to your computer under a different name so you can mess with it and have a back up.

Look at the program and see how it was originally done.

What is the new TV?

the new TV is a Sharp. Programming the cable was a snap - the problem with the TV is when I select HDTV it shows cable boxes to program. I'm missing something probably that will be a duh moment. I was careful enough to make a back up, thanks. And my old TV was a Sharp...

Being both TVs are Sharp, do some of the old commands still work? The codes usually don't change but I don't do any Sharp so....

Hi Bruce!

I am located in Westchester, NY (if you are in that area) and need someone local to work with. Also, I am capable of programming remotes off-site, as I have worked for URC and done this professionally for many years.

If would like my help reprogramming, you can reach me at 914-509-5360.

Thank you!
