That's going the wrong way. Converting a 3000 to work in Crestron is not what you need.

do you always have to be a dick?

Poor baby. It'll be okay. Call mommy so she can fix it.

Yes. Yes he does.

Talk about kettle and teapot. If there's a useless dick here, it's not me.

You do know you can learn IR codes directly into an MX-3000 (when connected via USB). It is actually really simple to add your own codes so they can be dragged / dropped onto any button after you create them.

Even learning entire remote's worth of codes should only take a few minutes. That is an easy remote to program even without an updated IR database.

Did you click on the link? Despite the wording, it talks about how to use the Crestron VT Pro software to get a program on the MX 3000.

I have done a lot of learning, however, it is only as good as the remote you have. the problem is, I want to control my Xbox One and there is no remote with the discrete on/off.

Absolutely not true. The XBOX button on the IR / media remote will wake it up (on) and a press & hold of that same button will bring up the menu to turn the console off. You just have to navigate up once (to turn console off) with the D-pad and hit enter. You could easily write a macro for off in just a couple steps.

My XBOX One is IR controlled and I have been doing this since day one. The command for that button just has to be set to repeat.

That is why I put a dedicated power off button on the XBOX One page.

You are probably the biggest ass on this site. I tried to talk to you and see if you would tone it down. You hate on everyone new, every diy'er, everything URC. Why not stay the hell out of the URC section if you are so down on it? You're biggest problem is you don't realize what a dick you are.
