I have a new Sony STR-VA1000ES receiver and I've been using the built in CCP codes for the STR-VA2000ES receiver and about half of the codes work. For example I can use the code for "TV" but "SAT/CABLE" does not. "Enter" works but "Left" and "Right" don't. For these codes to work I have to use the "IR1" selection on the receiver setup. If I use the "IR2", none of them work. I can't learn the codes because the OEM remote requires "IR2" to work. I guess I would have to learn every code.
Any ideas?

If I can find a way to switch this remote to AV1, I can then learn the codes that don't work. I'm not sure if it will switch.
