I'm trying to enter channel 008-02 on my Dish VP622 and can't seem to do it. This is a over the air HD channel. When I touch the screen icon or button it goes to channel 8.
Any channel programing help would be appreciated. Thanks, sentinel

First, what remote are you using? Second, does entering each number separately work properly or is the problem only in a macro? Third, if it's a macro, you probably need to add some delay time between steps in the macro. Mike www.SurfRemoteControl.com

Mike, I'm using a MX3000 and I'm not using a macro. I made a button labled 8-02. When I enter 00802 the remote changes to the correct channel.
I have a button labled NBC (IR Data =sat.122.8) and this works fine. The button that not working correctly is 08-02 (IR Data=sat.122.00802). If I enter the the channel number on the number pad it works, but not if I use the button (icon) 08-02.

I'm not sure what's going on there exactly, but to enter multiple channel numbers with a single button, you need to create a macro containing each number command (ie: 0-0-8-0-2).

You don't have to, but you should have buttons for all of channel numbers, 0-9 (ie: an "8" button assigned with the "8" command from the SAT 122 code list). You can have a button labeled with whatever multiple channel numbers you want (ie: 00802), but then you need to program a macro to that button that contains each of the individual number commands, possibly with some pause time between steps (if the cable box cannot respond fast enough). If you don't already have it, you should download the programming manual and possible a few sample .rcc files from this site to get a better idea of the programming possibilites.
