The OEM URC battery in my MX-810 isn't cutting it after 5 years of solid use. So I'm looking around ebay for a replacement. I noticed that most people are selling the same generic one that has a mAh rating about equal to the OEM battery: 1050. However, I'm also seeing some replacements that have higher ratings: up to 1800! Is there any danger in doing with a higher rated milliam hour than the original battery? I'm assuming that it just lasts longer.

If it's the same voltage, it should be fine. Like you assume, it should just last longer on a charge.

Just to update the thread. I bought a Kastar 1800mah battery, but of course it's just chinese junk that seems to have about 1/3 less power than even the worn out oem battery I was replacing. Anyone have a line on who makes URC's oem batteries by any chance? That was an excellent long lasting battery. It's basically a toss up on whether you get a good or bad aftermarket battery. The Mah ratings are useless since the sellers always lie.

The URC batteries aren't that expensive.

It's so hard now with all these shit Chinese knock off products that are crap. When the government allow you to steal from other companies, hire children for labor and make up anything you fell like, hard to trust.

Don't buy an after market projector bulb, worthless.

I tried finding the OEM battery for my Galaxy phone on Amazon.  Even ones that are listed as OEM and have an identical sticker on them as the original, tend to be be knock offs.  very frustrating...

Any idea where I can order an oem urc battery? Do authorized resellers carry them?

I am pretty sure that you can call URC directly and order them through the parts department.

This is the one I have bought. Works as well as the OEM.

Or you can buy the Duracell for 5x as much:

Yikes. URC's OEM replacement battery is $40. Pretty steep! I might just have to roll the dice with another aftermarket one.

I ended up buying a second 3rd party battery (Maximal Power). It's better than the Kastar. So I'm happy enough. It's only $6 on amazon.
