I need to service a system with an MX-900 tomorrow and I don't remember whether it uses a USB cable (with the mini USB plug) or the serial to 3.5mm cable. I looked briefly on the factory site and didn't see an illustration that would help.

Please let me know which cable it uses. Thanks in advance.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I'm sorry, but you have to help us to help you. Without a manufacturer to go with the model number, we are left to guess. A quick search on Google brought up

golf clubs:

A mouse:

A toner cartridge:
[Link: precisionroller.com] (this has extra letters in the part number so I'm just guessing it's not what you're talking about)

Some type of network firewall:[Link: m.cdw.com]

And a remote:[Link: universalremote.com]

I mean, we are all here to help, but with limited info given, you cannot expect a clear and concise answer. We are just left grasping at straws here.

You remind me of more peaceful posts from Mr. Stanley, where he asked for information on scalers and I provided illustrations and info on three different sizes of fish scale removers.

Nothing more was needed than MX-900 because this is the Complete Control Forum and the URC MX-900 is the only MX-900 that's part of the Complete Control group of products. Your comment would be valid in the Installers' Forum.

Actually, rarely does anything get posted in the correct section of this site. Your failure to post the manufacturer is every bit as much of a failure whether posted in the URC section of REMOTE Central as if you posted it in the Installers Lounge of REMOTE Central. Yet you feel the need to jump down EVERYONE'S throat if they ask questions similar to this on REMOTE central if placed really anywhere. You continue to be a hypocrite by not posting EVERY minute detail in your questions but feel yourself the self appointed "fact finder" in everyone else's posts.
