I have a popcorn hour vten box which has a power toggle button on the remote and I am not able to find discrete on/off buttons online
When i press and hold for 3 seconds the box turns off. How do i simulate this press and hold for 3 seconds. any ideas?

it is for the mx-890
the way the button works is, one press will take the system to standby and press and hold the button for 3 seconds will shut down the device ( in the manufacturers remote.)
I learned the command to mx-890 and use a macro to shut down all devices. but the macro when it executes the shutdown for popcorn hour it does not shut down the device and takes it to standby.

in the macro window, double click the ir code. this will bring up another window where you can change the repeat. the higher the repeat, the longer it will repeat the command. i don't remember what number would correspond to 3 seconds, but you should be able to figure it out with some trial and error.

great. that worked. i made it as 75 and it turned the box off.
i initially had repeat of "75" and "Repeat when button is pressed" as "10". Somehow that did not work. when i removed checkbox on "Repeat when button is pressed" it started working.
