I asked this question on another forum, but figured this is a good place to ask also.

How long has Best Buy / Magnolia been selling the X-8? I hadn't heard of an X-8 version of the MX-890 before.

Not sure why they would need an X-8 Remote when they were already selling the MX-890, and for the same price.
