Hi all, new user looking for some help. I recently purchase what was billed as the best remote money could buy and need help getting started. I have the control center software installed and updated but the 3000 isn't listed. I do have an account with ADI in Kent, wa and can purchase the remotes for resale but am not an installer. I have been using the Marantz RC-5200 for years but just recently changed a bunch of equipment and guess what, I can't find the cable, nor the software so I bought this unit from another AV sales person used (nib) and want to try to get it up and running. It's nice, I've formatted it and am ready to go, have familiarized myself with the Control center software and I think I can get through it but am not sure how to add my remote for editing. I read here that you have to have the specific software for JUST this remote is this true?
Is there anyone here in the Seattle area willing to come over and program it for me and teach me how to tweak it? I'll pay ya...?

the MX3000 is an older remote. it is programmed with the MX3000 editor, not Complete Control.

Out of curiousity more than anything, what do you do if you are not an installer with an account with ADI?

You will spend more time , with that defunct MX-3000 , with programming and all .
Does not support any Smart Tv's .
Get a MX880 or 980 , instead , will save you a lot of time .
I found one at a clients home , other day & threw it away ., sold him the Register key program , RF device pkg , for his I-pad ..
It's a new world out there , don't go backwards ,,

The MX880 is backwards. If you are going to go that route, go with the MX890 instead.
