Attempting to learn YET001 remote on mx-450. It continues to fail regardless of how device is lined up with mx-450 -- close (1-2 in) or further away (6 in), pressing key for an extended period of time or repeatedly, interrupting the signal by blocking and then removing a book between the devices...
The YET001 remote raises/lowers the TV that sits in the console. Trying to put that functionality on the Main Menu of the mx-450.
Has anyone ever done this before with the mx-450?
Are there other techniques I could try to get GOOD from the READY prompt instead of FAIL?

I've never heard of a YET001.
Are you certain that the YET001 remote is an IR remote? many TV lifts use an RF remote, and you won't be able to learn those codes if that is the case.
if you want to verify that the remote has IR capabilities, point a digital camera at the remote while you are holding down the button. if you see a flash of light, then it is IR. if not, then you are out of luck.

I never heard of that remote also, I program more MX-450's , than anything . If it has real IR , learn it , in a very dark room ! Check all you're settings on the 450 also & match up RF codes to MRF..
