As the title says, I have a very specific scenario where I would like to clear variables every 42 minutes on an MX-3000. Using a record timer the software only lets you execute a macro once a day, week, month or only once. Using a sleep timer I can only choose 90,60,or 30 minutes and I would need to get clever to execute.

My idea would be to set variables and in doing so kick off the timer, then once the timer completes it kicks a macro to clear the variables.... Any thoughts to make this happen?

Thanks
Seth

Nested macros.

Could you elaborate? I mean I get the nested macro concept but how would this help the timer issue?

Thanks for your help...

Seth,

In my opinion as powerful as the sleep timer is and how it can be leveraged, there is no way to do your request to the letter with the remote. Maybe I am missing something and there are guys who can get pretty creative, but the sleep timer increments do not really allow for that type of increment.

In order to do this request the right way would be to leverage a control processor which has built in clock. Then you could set events based on time and duration. URC's Total Control line and other control systems that utilize a central control processor would allow this to be done quite easily.

Thanks for the reply... and that is what I figured. Unfortunately I have the mx-3000 to work with and not any of the newer line. Oh well, I knew it was an odd ask...
