Channel Macros or Channel Icons? You can accomplish it, but not within a device. At least not with Accelerator. Might be possible with Flex. Not sure.

You can do channel macros within a device but no icons. In flex you can use channel Icons as well.

in order to do channel icons, create a new submenu called Favorites.  move this submenu to a hidden page.  add a macro to your cable/sat tv device page, name it Favorites.  in the macro setup, have this macro jump to the favorites submenu.

drag macros into the favorites submenu.  create the channel macros.  have one of the macros be a jump back to the cable/sat tv device.  I usually place this in the 1st position of the submenu.

punchthrough the commands from your cable/sat device to the main page so the customer can still change channels manually while browsing the favorites.

since the macro buttons are part of a submenu, you can drag icons onto the buttons in the graphic setup.

so when you are using your cable/sat tv device, you will have a button that takes you to the favorite submenu that shows all the channel graphics, and another button that will take you right back to the main device.  after about 10-15 seconds the remote will jump back to the main device anyway since the remote always wants to be on the "now playing" device page.

i hope that makes sense.

We would be tuned in if we had favorite buttons.

Thanks for the instruction. I figured there was a workaround but I wasn't sure if the function existed.

Darnitol - How long should we stay tuned in? :)

I've said too much, but I'll say this: Being that I'm one of the people designing the products, there's a long road between anything I do and it reaching dealers' hands. For some projects, my work begins years before you see it. For others it's only months. So by that measure, yes, I'm worse than any salesperson ever could be. Don't put a client system on hold based on anything I say, ever.
