I have an MX-800 (and software). I've never used the RF capability, but I would like to control a single light switch (for the main overhead lighting) in my HT room. Right now I have a standard wall switch Caseta Lutron dimmer with the RF control and it works well with the included remote but my understanding is that it won't work with the MX-800 because it is the wrong frequency.

Assuming I could find one, is this what I am looking for?

If so, do I need the Standard or i-Series (which seems to also require some other unit).

I simply want to be able to turn on/off (and maybe dim) the lights without getting off my recliner. The Lutron remote is fine, but it's really small and more than once in the dark I've dropped it underneath the seating and besides, it would be nice to have it controlled from my MX-800. Or maybe there is another solution someone can suggest.

Thanks very much,
- Mark

***I apologize, I probably should have posted my previous question in the URC's Consumer Remotes Forum***

Can the moderator move it, or delete it and I will repost?

Sorry.

Yes, that is what you need. The MRFB is the "i" version, which runs on the 433 MHz frequency. You would need an "i" remote to communicate with it, which you do not have. Since they are discontinued, they me be a challenge to find. They work great though if you can find one.

**I will add I never integrated lighting with an MX-800, so someone will have to chime in if it is not compatible with the lighting for some reason. To my knowledge it will work though.

I do not believe the MX-800 was built as an "i" series product (so it's 418MHz only).

You would need any MRFA-600M or MRFA-6MLV if you want that to control the lights .

No, it was not. I "believe" the MX-900 was the first offered with the 433 Mhz "i" series. I could be wrong on that too though.
