My friends toddler decided to go into my media cabinet and rip off all those pretty little flashing lights with wires on it! and now some of my emitters are in sad shape. One of them lost the housing completely so I just taped it on with black eletrical tape back on to the device.

I am having trouble finding replacement emitters that work well with the MRF-260, so I have a couple of questions.

What emitters work well with the MRF-260? Are there any dual or triple ones that work well or only the singles? Are there any mini blasters that work well (to put on the shelf infront of the xbox 1 since getting the emitter in the right place is about impossible, I taped the MRF-260 emitter on the shelf like 2 inches from the xbox1 which works great but seems little unprofessional :-) Is the Linear brand emitter the same as the stock MRF-260 emitter? The format looks the same.

Also 2 of my devices support the direct IR cable plugged into the back of the device, but I can't figure out what kind of cable to buy for that. Is it just a 3.5mm Stereo cable? With a 2.5/3.5 adapter if needed for a particular device?

I've seen systems that use an MRF-260 with Xantech and Niles emitters. I believe they also offer dual-headed emitters.

The connection to the MRF-260 is a mono 3.5mm cable, so the component should be the same.
