When the remote goes to sleep and a client goes to pick it up, no matter how many times you say "don't press the Main button", they press the Main button and have to trigger the macro again, which makes for a less enjoyable experience, and if programmed poorly, can cause power sync issues.
The MX-900 is always on, which alleviates that entirely, and all of the remotes from MX-890 and above wake on pick up, going to the last screen they were on.
I prefer to give my clients a better experience that they don't need to think about, rather than giving them rules and limitations. The only time I will sell a 780 is if a client is absolutely unwilling/unable to spend the money.

They have to think about putting the remote in the dock.
I think all of the remotes in the CCP lineup, save for the 6000 and 5000 are excellent and excel when programmed correctly, the 780 included. YES, people press the main button for some reason to wake it up. Not everyone will learn to press any button BUT the main button. However, a family with kids that tend to never put the remote on the dock will find a remote that they have to press a activity button to re-enter the activity they were in is less of a problem than finding their remote dead due to a non charge. The 780 has its place. It's a great remote for the price. I sell them. I sell 890's. I sell 1200s. And I sell TC. Whoe gets what depends on the particular clients, their lifestyles, and their needs.
