I have a MX-980

I have a Node that combines my DirectTV Sat Box with my Integra Pre Amp buttons

Every button works except for this one button on Page 2 of this node.

It is the button I programed to adjust subwoofer level on the Integra.

I have that button programmed on another note where it controls just the Pre amp (no Sat/Preamp combo_ and it works fine.

I have tried deleting it and copying the button from the working node button

I have tried copying the entire page of the Pre Amp only node and pasting it onto Page 2 of the offending node

I have deleted the whole page on this node, and rebuilt the page from scratch on the same node.

I have tried using the code from the IR data base and re applying it by deleting the info from that button then dragging the code from the IR data base to it.

I have tried "learning" the code from my MX-900 but it won't "learn " it from the MX-900 for some reason.

I am really stumped here as to why I can not get this button to work.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Are you using the MX980 with one of the RF units (MSC400 MRX1/2 MRF???) and using routing to specific IR emitter ports? If so, you need to create macro on sat box devices that contains the button on the amp box device so proper routing can occur.

I just want to get some clarification...

Did you program two IR commands to a single button, or did you use another method?

I am using a MRF-350

All the other buttons work fine.

I am programing a single command to the one troublesome button. No Macro of any sort.

It is the button you choose to activate adjustment on subwoofer for a Integra DHC 80.3

That's peculiar.

Have you tried turning that button into a macro and recording the function from the button that works as a single-step macro? That could do the trick.

Do you route specific devices to specific Emitter ports on the MRF-350? If so, the button on the Sat Box device should be a one line macro that is a press of the button on the pre amp. Otherwise it could just be the ir code is being routed to the sat box.

This totally worked. But I am curious as to why this works and nothing else did. I am just curious that way. I don't like it when the machines beat me. Ha Ha

This is exactly what it was. The Sat Box is set to Port 3 and the Pre Amp is Port 1. YOu can only assign one port and since I had this node controlling 2 devices, it got all messed up.

The macrco thing worked and I guess I could have assigned "ALL" ports as well to fix it.

Thank you for your help and not letting the machines beat me. I am smarter than my remote at that current point in time
