I'm getting a little comfortable with programming the remote. The last time I used a PC to program a remote was with Pronto Edit with my TS 1000 about 15 years ago.
For the past decade I have used various learning remotes, from the Marantz "remote if the gods", to an MX-500, and most recently the MX-450.
Life is about to get so much better once I get the MX-780 dialed in.
Here's my first problem: I was pleasantly surprised to see that CCP has the codes for My Dune HD Max. That would have been way too many buttons to learn.
It all seems to work well, except that the Left and Right buttons, when I press them, act as if I pressed them twice. So if I want to move over to the next icon, it will skip the second icon and land on the third. Then the left will often move over two places.
Is there a good way to solve this? I was thinking about having the remotes learn the left and right in hopes that it would solve the problem, but I suspect there might be a better way.
Macros aren't doing what I want, but I mess with it more before I post about that.
thanks, ~Jay

Under button properties try lowing repeat when pressed to 1 for your problem buttons.

Thanks for the reply.
There is no option that I could find in the button properties, but I do see it in the IR database navigator. The default setting is 3 retries, but it seems like that would change it for all the buttons on that device.
Am I looking in the right place? If so, what does that mean, and should I change it to 1 or 2?
thanks, ~Jay

Click properties tab.
Select the button you want to change. Highlight the IR code in the macro window. Double click the highlighted IR which opens IR settings.
Unselect repeat when button is pressed and select 1 in repeat. This only effects the buttons you change!
