Hi,

can i use RFX-150 for the msc-400?
I see the manual that rfx-250 needs to be used and I was wondering both are rf receivers and if they can be used.

this is for mx-890 remote. got a msc-400 on ebay which did not come with a rf receiver and i believe i need to buy one.

Looks like i found an answer in other thread. But cannot confirm unless i buy and test it.

Someone had a MRF-300 with RFX-150 and he upgraded to RFX-250. So technically that means they both are compatible with MRF-300.

In the same way the MSC-400 is also a basestation which receives an "RF IN" so my assumption is they are both compatible.

I have tested it and it works. I had an extra MRF-300 that I gave to a friend. Like a dummy, I did not have the RFX-150 plugged in all the way and so I tried the RFX-250 and it worked.

I only used the 150 on my MSC-400 for a moment so I can't speak to how well it is going to work.

RFX-150 is the wideband RF antenna, RFX-250 is the newer narrowband antenna for remotes built after 2007-ish.
